Happy Thanksgiving!

(Pardon me? It's already the end of November?)

Hard to believe that it's time for the holidays ~ to plan meals, create shopping lists, decorate, put a lamp shade on your head ... you get the point (I had to read through last year's Thanksgiving post to make sure a year had truly passed ... phew!)

Mia and I are very fortunate ~ we've had plenty to give thanks for in 2008, and many times there was a "feast" created around that which we were celebrating (and now we're regulars at the gym). But not every feast was just of the culinary sort. There were feasts of fun, creativity, and self-expression. Feasts of hard work. Feasts of thanks.

We kicked off this year's event season with an appreciation dinner (following our photo shoot) for the Red Letter Days family that was absolutely delightful!

Parkhouse Eatery played host to an evening of great conversation, fabulous food, and yummy wine.

Dear friends Dawn Stone (owner of Embellishmint Floral and Event Design Studio) and Haydee Alderete (owner of Concepts Event Design) contributed floral and linen to create a feast table to remember.

Our buddy Cary Pennington captured the beauty and warmth of our evening with his photographic stylings.

This was an opportunity for all of us to celebrate and be celebrated. A feast we still remember fondly!

And there's the dessert feast table we created for San Diego Style Weddings Magazine 2008-2009 (page 321) at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine, captured by San Diego Wedding Candids. "Sweet Black Cherries" is what we dubbed it, and it was a collaborative effort with floral guru Lisa Whitebread (owner of Designworks) and pastry chef Amy O'Hara.

With custom place mats, funky place settings and glassware, and an array of the unusual, we set out to make mouths water (as any feast should!) and honor the non-traditional.

Celebration is our business and it's what we're passionate about ... any time of year. We invite you this Thanksgiving to feast on love, friendship, community, and kindness. Drink to memories and new possibilities. Share your gifts and talents. Contribute to the meal creatively.
Thank you for your support this year. We appreciate you!
Gobble Gobble,
Bek and Mia
